Six of the eleven full-time teachers are pursuing graduate studies at St. Joseph's University, with four of those teachers scheduled to earn master's degrees within the next year. The school is also a site for the Response-Ability Teacher Service Program (sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Child Jesus). Holy Name is the only school in New Jersey to participate in this innovative program that places college graduates in elementary school classrooms and provides advanced studies for the volunteers who live in a community setting for collegiality, spiritual formation, and educational advancement. Holy Name also hosts a Jesuit Volunteer who fills a variety of roles within the school community. Six Holy Name School faculty members are certified as catechists by the Diocese of Camden, and two other teachers are in the formation process. The faculty at Holy Name School takes part in regular professional development in a wide variety of areas ranging from classroom management to enhancing student math skills to working with learning disabled students in the mainstream classroom.
