Founded in 1995 with the belief that the complex needs of urban family life in North Camden must be better served, GFS offers clinical counseling and direct social services focusing on families in distress. These services are offered with particular sensitivity to the cultural needs of the community. GFS also facilitates community organizing, offers programs in ESL, computer classes. GFS directly serves more than one thousand persons annually and networks with leading social service agencies and community and cultural organizations.
